Religious Education Classroom and Assemblies Support

ROC Dawlish supports religious education across all key stages, working alongside the Devon Agreed Syllabus for RE. As well as classroom teaching, we offer hands-on experiences such as church visits and lively puppet shows that help pupils explore the Christian faith in creative ways. We also deliver Christian and ethos assemblies to enrich the wider life of the school.

School Ethos Support

ROC Dawlish works in close partnership with the ethos leads at Westcliff and Gatehouse Schools, supporting both staff and pupils who champion their school’s ethos. Together, we develop creative ideas that connect the schools more deeply with their local communities and help children reflect on how those communities can grow in unity and care.

‘Easter Is…?’

‘Easter Is…?’ is an annual Easter experience hosted at the Hope Centre, where the Jerusalem Temple (our redesigned church auditorium) is brought to life with actors playing post-Easter characters. Pupils are immersed in the first-century Easter story, exploring the space and interviewing characters using specially designed booklets.
